Annual Competition to Find the Best and Brightest New Game Designers Now Down to Four Finalists
REDMOND, WA (October 19, 2015): Paizo Inc., publisher of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game and Pathfinder Adventure Card Game, announces today the Top 4 contestants in Season 9 of the RPG Superstar game design competition. Each of these four finalists have won professional writing contracts with Paizo, and an opportunity to begin their game design careers by working on the world’s largest fantasy roleplaying campaign.

“By the time contestants reach the last round, they've truly gotten a taste of how difficult the creative process of game design can be,” says Owen KC Stephens, RPG Superstar’s MC. “I appreciate the hard work and dedication every contestant put into their entries, and hope those for whom the contest is over can sit back, relax, and enjoy the last round.”
The Top 4 contestants will now be tasked with writing a 2000-word adventure proposal, to be used to form the outline of the winner’s final published book. Each must be for a 32 - 40-page adventure for 5th-level characters, set in the Sodden lands, and focusing on a location-based adventure. The submissions are due October 22, voting will begin on October 26, and the winner of this 9th Season of RPG Superstar will be announced on October 30.
The winner of RPG Superstar will have their adventure published by Paizo as a Pathfinder Module, a full-color, 64-page, high-quality softcover book, compatible with the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game (RPG). Also, three runners-up will win assignments to write adventure scenarios for Paizo’s Pathfinder Society Organized Play campaign.
In the best-selling Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, players take on the role of brave adventurers fighting to survive in a world beset by magic and evil.
