Live RPG Plus (Friday, 12:00pm – Dropbear Theatre)
The audience will shape the adventure and make history in this live, interactive, RPG event, featuring the Dicestormers and legendary game designer Chris Avellone. Live RPG Plus is the next-gen tabletop gaming experience, brought to life by Realm Works, Syrinscape, and Game Master and Syrinscape creator Benjamin Loomes. To help shape the characters the players will play, to effect the outcomes (the funnier the better), to heckle or otherwise participate, audience members are encouraged to share their ideas live in the auditorium as well as via Twitter @Dicestormers or #LiveRPGPlus.
Gaming Blind – Accessibility and Tabletop Games (Friday, 2:00pm – Bunyip Theatre)
As table gaming is in something of a renaissance, how many of those games are accessible for blind or low vision players, without modification? About five. Join the panel as they share personal stories and discuss what can and is being done to make RPGS and other tabletop games more accessible to people with low vision and blindness, and share our passion for broadening the reach of tabletop games.
Become Immortalized on a Syrinscape RPG SoundSet!
Attendees of PAX Aus have the opportunity to become immortalized in the upcoming Peasants Revolt SoundSet from Syrinscape. The Syrinscape booth (#TT610) will be turned into a recording studio live from the floor, and everyone is welcome to contribute his or her own custom and unique sounds that conjure the uprising of an angry mob – screams, group chants, crashes, yells. Anyone whose sound is used in the final product will receive the SoundSet for free, along with their name in lights on the credits page at Syrinscape.com.
The award-winning Syrinscape apps bring fantastic, realistic sound to tabletop gaming. Each is available to try for free, can be completely unlocked for free for 30 days at syrinscape.com/freetrial, and includes 2 free SoundSets to keep after the trial. The Syrinscape app is compatible with a wide range of devices, including PC, Mac, Android Phones and Tablets, iPads, and iPhones. To download the free Sci-Fi Player, or Syrinscape Fantasy Player, with an extensive library of sounds for fantasy gaming, including the official sounds for the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, visit Syrinscape.
