FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Trans-Atlantic Band Features Drummer and Vocalist in Seattle USA, Guitarist and Bassist in Stratford-upon-Avon, UK
SEATTLE, WA (February 06, 2015): The Little Ships announce today that drummer Regan Hagar has joined the band. Hagar is currently recording drum tracks for The Little Ships at Studio Litho in Seattle, and the band expects to release their second single, Nova, within the coming weeks. The Little Ships debut, full-length album, will release summer 2015, and will include a previously unreleased song by Pearl Jam’s Stone Gossard, as well as collaborations with Happy Chichester.
Hagar has been an integral part of the Seattle music community since the early days with the band Malfunkshun, and has performed under numerous musical guises over the years, most-recently as a member of the bands Brad and Satchel. Hagar joins fellow Seattleite Ty Willman (Green Apple Quickstep), The Little Ships’ vocalist, along with guitarist Baz Bayliss and bassist Mike McNamara, both based in the U.K., to make up the trans-Atlantic musical collective known as The Little Ships.
The Little Ships released their first single, Shiver, in September 2014, and the song is available to download for free from Bandcamp.
“A very beautiful song.” – Stone Gossard (Pearl Jam/Brad)
"Little Ships is a great new band. Ty Willman is one of my favorite singers, whether I’m working with him or just listening. I’m really excited for this band and look forward to anything they put out.”
– Dave Krusen (Pearl Jam/Novatone/Nine50Nine)
"A really lovely and haunting song. Ty's voice is in top-form."
– Barrett Jones (Producer/Engineer, Nirvana/Foo Fighters)
